I’m sooooo Tired – Acupuncture for Fatigue and Insomnia

You have a hard time sleeping through the night.  You wake up every night, maybe you need to pee, and when you get back to bed you find yourself wide awake.  You look at your clock and it is always about the same time every night.  I bet it is between 1 am and 3 am.  If so, this is a symptom that you are not adequately handling stress during the day.

From the Eastern Medicine perspective, the liver is the organ than manages stress.  They say that the liver ensures the smooth flow of emotions.  If you aren’t adequately dealing with your “stuff” during the day, your body is going to deal with it by waking up between 1 and 3 am, classic Eastern medicine.

The good news is that there is a solution to this problem.  With some acupuncture sessions, some Chinese Herbs, and some lifestyle coaching, you can sleep through the night, and wake up rested in the morning.  You will not need a nap or caffeine to make it through the day.

We provide custom solutions to stress related problems without side effects.  So why wait to get a good night’s sleep?  While you are waiting for your first appointment with us, here are a few things you can do:

  • Journal, write down what is on your mind and get it out before you go to bed
  • Read something light before bed, a magazine, or entertaining article, do not use electronic media
  • Down load one of our favorite mediation apps such as Simply Being, or Insight Timer. Listen for 5-10 minutes during the day

See you soon
