Why do I have Back Pain?

Does you back hurt, does it ache all the time?  Perhaps you have been to the doctor and they did not find anything wrong, so they gave you muscle relaxants and pain medication.  They may have sent you to PT.  After dutifully going to PT several times a week, you still have an achy back.  You might even have been to a chiropractor, and you feel better after a “crack”, but the ache comes right back.

What to do?

Let us help you with your back pain.  If there is not a specific structural or physical problem, perhaps you are suffering from tension.  You may be experiencing tension from sitting at a desk for a good part of the day.  Or maybe tension comes from the stress you have in your life: job, commuting, family, financial, you name it, stress comes in many different flavors.  But stress is cumulative and eventually, it effects your back.

We provide custom solutions for stress with no side effects.  Let us help you eliminate that achy back.

Here are a couple of suggestions that will help you get started:

  • Make sure you stand up and move frequently throughout the day. If you find yourself sitting for 30 minutes, stand up for at least two minutes.
  • Take an Epsom salt bath. Epsom salts are a source of magnesium which is a natural muscle relaxant without side effects.  You can soak your entire body in a tub with two cups of Epsom salts, or just take a foot bath using one cup.
