Ann and Emily are a mother-daughter healthcare team, who are passionate about proving high quality natural medicine to their community in Phoenix. Their combined 50 years of work in health and wellness give them a broad range of knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive health solutions, with no side effects.

Ann Rea, L. Ac.

Ann is a licensed acupuncturist (L. Ac.) in the state of Arizona. She has a master’s degree in Oriental medicine from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA). In addition, she is a nationally board-certified diplomat in Oriental medicine (acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine) with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Ann received additional advanced training in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she focused her studies on acupuncture, tui na, and the herbal treatments for digestive disorders and arthritis.

She has also completed an apprenticeship in acupuncture sports medicine with well-known acupuncturist Whitfield Reaves of Boulder, Colorado, author of The Acupuncture Handbook of Sports Injuries & Pain.

Ann has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Defiance College and a master’s degree in health services administration from Arizona State University. Her entire career has been spent working within the healthcare system. Her knowledge of Western science and medicine coupled with training in traditional Chinese medicine allows her to clearly see the strengths and weaknesses of both systems.

Ann believes that patients benefit from optimal usage of both the Western and Eastern traditions and that when used together, the patient is the beneficiary.

Ann has a passion for cooking, growing her own fruits and vegetables, and raising chickens (she currently has six). Every Wednesday, you can find her shopping at the Uptown Farmers Market. She loves to relax with a glass of wine and her two puppies in her lap. She and her husband enjoy hikeing and traveling, both in the US and abroad.
